FitLock Terms of Use

These Terms of Use govern your use of FitLock, including subscriptions, lifetime purchases, Apple Health-based unlock goals, Screen Time app and category locks, notifications, and related features. By using FitLock or purchasing access, you agree to these terms.

1. Subscriptions, Trials, and Purchases

FitLock may offer auto-renewable subscriptions and a lifetime in-app purchase. Monthly and annual subscriptions may include a free trial when you are eligible. Purchases, billing, renewals, cancellations, refunds, and trial eligibility are handled by Apple through your Apple ID.

Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple account settings. Lifetime access is a one-time in-app purchase for the FitLock app under the Apple ID used to purchase it.

2. Health and Fitness Disclaimer

FitLock is a focus and habit-support tool. It is not medical advice, fitness coaching, healthcare, diagnosis, treatment, or emergency assistance. You are responsible for choosing goals that are appropriate for your health, abilities, and circumstances. Consult a qualified healthcare professional before starting or changing any fitness, health, nutrition, sleep, or wellness routine.

3. App Blocking and Access Choices

FitLock allows you to block selected apps and categories until your selected goal is completed or until you use the app's access cooldown controls. You are solely responsible for choosing what to block. Do not block apps, services, or categories that you may need for emergencies, safety, work, caregiving, medical care, transportation, identity verification, financial access, or other essential activities.

FitLock depends on Apple Health, Screen Time, notifications, Background App Refresh, device settings, Apple services, and iOS behavior. Health data and lock status may not update instantly, especially when the device is locked, offline, low on battery, in Low Power Mode, missing permissions, or when iOS limits background activity.

4. Data and Permissions

FitLock reads only the Apple Health metrics needed for your unlock goals after you grant permission. FitLock uses Screen Time permissions to shield the apps or categories you select. You can change Health, notification, and Screen Time permissions in iOS settings.

5. User Responsibility

You are responsible for your use of FitLock, your selected goals, your blocked app or category selections, your device settings, your Apple Health data sources, and your decision to start or cancel any pause cooldown.

6. No Warranty

FitLock is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory. To the maximum extent permitted by law, FitLock disclaims all warranties, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, availability, and non-infringement.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, FitLock and its developer will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, loss of access, missed goals, missed notifications, health outcomes, interruption of use, or inability to access blocked apps or categories.

Where liability cannot be excluded by law, FitLock's total liability will be limited to the amount you paid for FitLock during the 12 months before the claim, or 100 US dollars, whichever is greater.

8. Changes to FitLock or These Terms

FitLock may change features, pricing, availability, or these Terms over time. If these Terms materially change, the app may ask you to review and accept the updated version before continuing.

9. Apple

Apple is not responsible for FitLock, its content, support, maintenance, claims, or your use of the app, except as required by applicable Apple terms and policies.
