FitLock Privacy Policy

Overview

FitLock is designed to help users stay consistent with fitness goals while limiting personal data collection. This policy explains what data FitLock collects, how it is used, how it is shared, and how users can request deletion or ask questions.

Data FitLock Collects

FitLock does not sell personal data and is designed to avoid collecting personal data on FitLock-controlled servers. App settings, goals, streaks, and progress information are stored on the user's device.

If FitLock requests access to Apple Health or fitness-related data, that access is used only to provide app features selected by the user. FitLock does not use Health data for advertising or sell Health data to third parties.

How Data Is Used

Data stored by FitLock is used to provide core app functionality, such as showing goals, progress, completion status, and streaks. Support emails are used only to respond to the user's request.

Data Sharing

FitLock does not share personal data with advertisers or data brokers. If a user enables Apple services such as iCloud backup or Apple Health, data handled by those services is subject to Apple's terms and privacy practices. If future FitLock features use third-party service providers, those providers will be required to protect user data consistently with this policy and applicable App Store requirements.

Retention and Deletion

Data stored locally by FitLock remains on the user's device until the user deletes it in the app, resets the related settings, or removes the app. To request assistance with deletion or privacy questions, email jeffreyburns@me.com.

Consent and Permissions

Users can grant or revoke iOS permissions, including Health-related permissions if used by FitLock, in the Settings app. Withdrawing a permission may limit features that depend on that permission.

Children's Privacy

FitLock is not intended to knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through a support request, contact FitLock support so it can be deleted.

Changes to This Policy

This policy may be updated as FitLock changes. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a new effective date.
